Amends the School Code to require pupils entering 9th grade in the 2019-2020 school year or later to successfully complete one semester of computer science as a prerequisite for high school diploma.

Computer science course requirement is in addition to any computer science course taken to satisfy the existing mathematics requirement.

School districts offering Advanced Placement computer science must designate it as equivalent to a high school mathematics course and note on transcripts that it qualifies as a mathematics-based, quantitative course.

Exempts pupils entering 9th grade in the 2018-2019 school year or earlier from the computer science requirement.

Exempts students with disabilities whose course of study is determined by an individualized education program from this requirement.
