Amends the Volunteer Emergency Worker Job Protection Act to redefine "volunteer emergency worker" based on federal regulations and Department of Labor opinion letters rather than compensation status.

Expands the definition to include licensed Emergency Medical Services personnel (EMR, EMT, EMT-I, A-EMT, and Paramedic) and volunteer ambulance drivers or attendants who do not work full-time in these capacities for another entity.

Removes the previous requirement that volunteer workers receive no monetary compensation, instead focusing on whether they work on a full-time career basis.

Maintains existing protections for volunteer members of county or municipal emergency services, auxiliary police officers, and auxiliary deputy sheriffs.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
