Requires group and individual accident and health insurance policies amended, delivered, issued, or renewed after the effective date to cover treatment of Neurofibromatosis Type 1, including surgical procedures.

Amends the Illinois Insurance Code by adding Section 356z.29 to establish coverage requirements for Neurofibromatosis Type 1 treatment.

Makes conforming changes to the State Employees Group Insurance Act of 1971, Counties Code, Illinois Municipal Code, School Code, Health Maintenance Organization Act, Limited Health Service Organization Act, Voluntary Health Services Plans Act, and Illinois Public Aid Code to include references to the new coverage requirement.

Applies to all health insurance plans in Illinois, including self-insured plans maintained by counties, municipalities, and school districts.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
