IL HB4667

Amends the Local Governmental and Governmental Employees Tort Immunity Act to allow funds from taxes authorized under the Act to be used for health or medical insurance premiums or health savings plans.

Expands permitted uses of tort immunity tax revenue beyond traditional tort liability, insurance, and risk management purposes to explicitly include employee health insurance and health savings account funding.

Maintains strict construction requirement that tort immunity tax funds be used only for purposes expressly authorized under the Act, with General Assembly declaring that other uses are improper.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
