• Principals rated as "exceeding expectations" in evaluations cannot have their contracts non-renewed unless 90% of local school council members vote to do so.

• Principals rated as "meeting expectations" cannot have their contracts non-renewed unless 75% of local school council council members vote to do so.

• Principals whose school's district rating increases by 2 or more levels require a 90% council vote to non-renew; those with a 1-level increase require 75%.

• Principals at schools with the district's highest rating require a 70% council vote to non-renew their contracts.

• Effective July 1, 2018.
