IL HB4849

Amends the Military Code of Illinois to expand the Illinois National Guard Construction Fund to include moneys from transfers or exchanges of state property and federal funds received under the Federal Master Cooperative Agreement for real property construction and maintenance.

Allows the Adjutant General to use construction fund monies for acquiring building sites, constructing new facilities, rehabilitating existing facilities, and making other capital improvements.

Requires fund expenditures to be subject to appropriation by the General Assembly, removing the previous requirement for written release by the Governor.

Repeals Section 22-6 of the Military Code of Illinois.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
