IL HB4854

Increases election precinct voter threshold from 500-800 voters to 1,500 voters across all county types and municipalities.

Raises the vote-casting threshold requiring precinct division from 800 votes (cities under 500,000 population) and 600 votes (cities over 500,000 population) to 1,500 votes for both after two consecutive general elections.

Allows county boards and boards of election commissioners to appoint or select either 3 or 5 judges of election for general elections, replacing the requirement of always appointing 5 judges.

Effective immediately upon becoming law.
