• Increases minimum election precinct size from 500-600 voters to 1,200 voters across Illinois counties and municipalities.

• Raises the threshold for mandatory precinct division in cities with fewer than 500,000 inhabitants from 800 votes to 1,500 votes at consecutive general elections.

• Raises the threshold for mandatory precinct division in cities with more than 500,000 inhabitants from 600 votes to 1,200 votes at consecutive general elections.

• Restricts county boards in non-township counties from changing precinct boundaries "from time to time" to only when a significant shift in voter population has occurred.
