IL HB4931

Amends the Election Code to increase the voting machine ratio from one machine per 400 voters to one machine per 500 voters or fraction thereof.

Requires election authorities to supply sufficient voting machines for all elections in their jurisdictions, with the new machine-to-voter ratio applied.

Maintains existing certification requirements that voting machines must be examined and approved by a board of voting machine commissioners before use or purchase by election authorities.

Preserves all other voting machine standards including requirements for voter secrecy, prevention of overvoting, support for multiple political parties, and security features.
