Creates the Professionalized Street Outreach Workers Task Force under the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority to examine best practices for training and professionalizing street outreach staff and supervisors.

Task Force shall hold public hearings and make recommendations on training and accountability standards required for street outreach workers funded with State appropriated funds.

Task Force membership includes the ICJIA Executive Director (as Chairperson), Illinois Community College Board Executive Director, representatives from violence reduction organizations, academic institutions, community-based outreach providers, nonprofit training organizations, and national outreach training organizations with 7+ years of experience.

Illinois Community College Board must issue requests by January 1, 2019 for community colleges to develop Career and Technical Education curriculum addressing training needs identified by the Task Force.

Task Force must submit written findings and recommendations to the General Assembly by January 1, 2019; this Section repeals on January 1, 2020.
