Creates the Regional Office of Education Task Force within the State Board of Education to study services provided by regional offices of education statewide.

Task Force membership consists of 4 legislators (2 Senate, 2 House), representatives from statewide associations for social workers, counselors, psychologists, principals, and teachers (2 members), 2 parents of students with mental disabilities, a school resource officer, and a homeless student advocacy representative.

State Superintendent of Education appoints most Task Force members with preference for geographic diversity; all members serve without compensation but receive reimbursement for reasonable expenses.

Task Force shall report findings and recommendations to the State Board of Education, Governor, and General Assembly by July 1, 2019, with specific attention to the feasibility and benefits of creating therapeutic day schools.

Task Force dissolves upon submission of its July 1, 2019 report; the entire statutory provision repeals on July 1, 2020.
