Appropriates $5,797,550 from the Build Illinois Bond Fund to the Capital Development Board for early childhood construction grants to school districts and not-for-profit providers serving children birth to 5 years old.

Prioritizes grant funding for projects in communities with the greatest underserved populations of young children, as identified using census data and local early childhood service data.

Appropriates $1,375,000 from the Build Illinois Bond Fund to the Capital Development Board for a grant to Gads Hill Center for an early childhood center in Brighton Park.

Both appropriations may be used for construction, renovation, and other capital improvements related to early childhood facilities.

Act takes effect upon becoming law.
