IL HB5832

Amends the Rivers, Lakes, and Streams Act by adding Section 40 requiring persons who place docks in rivers, lakes, or streams to equip them with reflector tape or other reflective material visible to approaching boats.

Establishes a petty offense with a fine of not more than $100 for violations of the dock safety requirement.

Elevates violations to a Class A misdemeanor if the violation results in injury or death of another person.
