Designates November 3, 2017 as Construction Craft Day in Illinois to promote awareness of construction trade careers and workforce development opportunities.

Recognizes the Manufacture/Craft Your Future campaign's efforts to schedule presentations with chambers of commerce, Rotary Clubs, school districts, and community groups in St. Clair, Madison, and Monroe Counties.

Acknowledges the annual metro construction career expo held in Belleville by Southern Illinois Builders Association and Southern Illinois Construction Advancement Program to address workforce shortages in construction.

Notes that thousands of construction industry workers will retire in coming years, creating numerous job openings that will be difficult to fill without educating the current and future workforce about well-paid construction careers.

Directs presentation of a suitable copy of the resolution to Southern Illinois Builders Association CEO Donna Richter.
