Notes that 55,000 women veterans currently reside in Illinois and approximately 344,500 women serve on active duty, in the National Guard, and Reserves across all enlisted ranks and officer corps

Highlights milestone achievements by women in the military, including first women promoted to general ranks (1970), admission to military academies (1976), first woman fighter pilot in combat (1998), and first woman to command a Navy warship (2000)

Directs presentation of a copy of the resolution to the Director of the Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs
