Endorses Taiwan's efforts to negotiate a Bilateral Investment Agreement (BIA) and Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the United States to increase trade and investment opportunities.

Supports Taiwan's participation in international organizations that impact health, safety, and well-being, and acknowledges Taiwan as the ninth largest U.S. trading partner with $66.6 billion in bilateral trade in 2015.

Notes Taiwan was Illinois' sixth largest export market in Asia in 2015, with $633.8 million in Illinois goods exported to Taiwan.

Directs copies of the resolution be sent to all Illinois Congressional Delegation members and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Chicago.
