Designates May 10, 2017 as Alpha Kappa Alpha Day in the State of Illinois to honor Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and its work.

Recognizes Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority as the nation's oldest African-American sorority, founded in 1908 at Howard University and incorporated in 1913.

Notes the sorority's mission to cultivate high scholastic and ethical standards, promote unity among college women, and provide "Service to All Mankind."

Highlights the 2017 Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Day at the Capitol's focus on three Illinois issues: funding for elementary, secondary, and higher education; health care; and immigration.

Acknowledges prominent members including Eleanor Roosevelt, Coretta Scott King, Rosa Parks, Maya Angelou, and several Illinois General Assembly members and staff.
