Reaffirms Illinois' commitment to enhanced bilateral cooperation and deeper social and trade relations with The Bahamas, recognizing its status as an oldest democracies in the western hemisphere and close ally of the United States since independence on July 10, 1973

Encourages all airlines operating between Illinois and The Bahamas to increase the number of direct flights, noting that currently only one carrier provides direct flights from Chicago to The Bahamas (once daily Monday-Friday, twice daily on weekends)

Directs Air Canada, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue Airways, and United Airlines to begin earnest discussions with The Bahamas Honorary Consulate in Chicago as soon as practicable regarding increasing direct flight frequency between Illinois and The Bahamas

Requires the five named airlines to report to the House Transportation: Regulation, Roads and Bridges Committee on the progress and outcome of their discussions with The Bahamas Honorary Consulate

Directs distribution of resolution copies to The Bahamas and the five airlines as an expression of Illinois' commitment to the long-lasting partnership
