Acknowledges key historical contributions including Chinese immigrant workers on the Transcontinental Railroad (completed May 10, 1869) and the 442nd Infantry Regiment's service in World War II, which earned nearly 10,000 Purple Hearts.

Highlights historical discrimination faced by Asian Americans including the Chinese Exclusion Act (May 6, 1882) and the Immigration Act of 1924, as well as Japanese American internment during World War II.

Recognizes notable Asian American leaders including Dalip Singh Saund (first Asian American elected to Congress), Fred T. Korematsu (civil rights champion), Larry Dulay Itliong (labor movement hero), and Patsy Mink (Title IX advocate).
