Recognizes the accomplishments of Ulysses S. Grant during his service as U.S. president and military officer.

Declares November 3, 2018 as President Ulysses S. Grant Day in Illinois to commemorate the 150th anniversary of his election as president on November 3, 1868.

Highlights Grant's achievements including championing African American civil rights, enacting the Civil Rights Act of 1875, supporting the 15th Amendment, and fighting against the Ku Klux Klan.

Notes Grant's other accomplishments as president including designating Yellowstone as the first national park, creating the Justice Department, implementing civil service reforms, and appointing General Ely S. Parker as the first Native American Commissioner of Indian Affairs.

Encourages the U.S. Grant Home State Historic Site and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources to plan and conduct appropriate commemorative activities for the sesquicentennial of Grant's election as president.
