Congratulates State Rep. Steven Andersson on his retirement and recognizes his years of service to Illinois, representing the 65th Legislative District since January 2, 2015.

Acknowledges Andersson's advocacy for mental health awareness, criminal justice reform through House Bill 4584, and bipartisan support for the Equal Rights Amendment.

Highlights his role as Co-Chair of the Illinois Historic Preservation Caucus and recognition as Landmarks Illinois 2018 Legislator of the Year for creating the Illinois Historic Preservation Tax Credit.

Recognizes his creation of Gold Star Family Day through House Bill 4389 to honor families of military members who died in service, his environmental advocacy, and numerous legislator of the year awards from organizations including the Illinois Association of School Social Workers and Illinois Pork Producers.

Notes his service as floor leader during the 100th General Assembly, bipartisan work on the state budget, and community engagement through constituent advocacy groups and school programs.
