Congratulates Judge Richard P. Goldenhersh on his retirement from the Illinois Appellate Court, Fifth District.

Judge Goldenhersh was elected to the Illinois Appellate Court in 1988 and served as Presiding Judge twice; he previously served as a circuit judge in St. Clair County (1982-1988) and Associate Judge (1975-1982).

Earned an A.B. from Washington University in 1966, J.D. in 1969, and LL.M. in Judicial Process from the University of Virginia in 2001.

Served as past president of the Illinois Judges Association and held leadership positions in the Illinois State Bar Association, including chair of the Civil Practice and Procedure Section Council.

Has been active in community service through boards and memberships with the Jewish Federation of Southern Illinois, Washington University Law School Alumni Association, and various judicial education organizations.
