Congratulates Rev. Dr. Alan Vincent Ragland on his retirement as pastor from Third Baptist Church of Chicago after 26 years of service.

Recognizes Ragland's educational credentials including undergraduate studies at University of Memphis, Master of Divinity from Colgate Rochester Divinity School, and Doctor of Ministry from McCormick Theological Seminary.

Acknowledges his extensive work in theological education as the first full-time African-American faculty member at Memphis Theological Seminary and later as an educator at McCormick Theological Seminary and University of Chicago Divinity School.

Highlights the expansion of Third Baptist Church's ministry during his tenure, including over three dozen active ministries such as food pantries, health and wellness programs, youth development, jail ministry, college scholarships for over 20 consecutive years, and community partnerships.

Directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to Rev. Ragland as a symbol of respect and esteem.
