Illinois House of Representatives commends the life and legacy of President George H.W. Bush, who died on November 30, 2018, at age 94.

Recognizes Bush's military service as a naval aviator in World War II, including his training at Glenview Naval Air Station on Lake Michigan, combat missions in the Pacific, and rescue after being shot down in 1944.

Acknowledges Bush's political career as a U.S. Congressman from Texas (1966-1971), UN Ambassador, Republican National Committee Chairman, CIA Director, Vice President under Ronald Reagan (1981-1989), and 41st President (1989-1993).

Highlights Bush's presidency achievements including leadership of the 1990-1991 Gulf War coalition against Iraq and signing the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

Directs presentation of the resolution to the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum in College Station, Texas, and to President George W. Bush.
