Requires operators of commercial motor vehicles weighing 10,001 or more pounds to remove ice and snow from the hood, roof, and sides that pose a safety threat to others on Illinois highways during vehicle operation.

Exempts vehicles operating during active snow, sleet, or freezing rain; parked vehicles; authorized emergency vehicles; highway maintenance vehicles; State fleet vehicles on official business; and school buses.

Violations classified as petty offenses with fines of not more than $25 for the first offense and not more than $50 for second or subsequent offenses.
