Allows the board of education of Peoria School District 150 to employ a police force and define officers' duties and compensation.

School police officers must complete training administered by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board to become conservators of the peace and have arrest powers on school district property.

School police officers may arrest without warrant any person who breaks the peace, violates city ordinances, or commits violations of state criminal law, with authority limited to school district property except in cases of fresh pursuit or under intergovernmental cooperation agreements.

School police officers must comply with the Illinois Police Training Act and complete firearm training under the Peace Officer and Probation Officer Firearm Training Act before carrying a firearm.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
