Secretary of Human Services shall appoint a task force to review current and potential federal funding for home and community-based services for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Task force composition includes the Secretary (as chair), one Department of Healthcare and Family Services representative, six provider organization representatives, two family members/guardians, two consumer advocacy representatives, three individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, and four legislative members (one from each Senate/House leadership position).

Task force shall review current federal Medicaid matching funds, ways to maximize federal support for services including attendant care and housing, federal funding options, and strategies to reduce wait times for services.

Task force members must be appointed by July 1, 2017, shall hold at least four hearings, and must submit findings to the Governor and General Assembly by July 1, 2018.

Section is repealed on July 1, 2019; task force members receive no compensation.
