School boards may lease property from public building commissions or private parties for up to 40 years for school purposes and administrative functions.

School boards may enter into lease and lease purchase agreements with private entities for up to 40 years for construction of school buildings, administrative offices, and support facilities, with the board maintaining exclusive possession and educational control.

Agricultural science schools are limited to 720 students with at least 50% of enrollment reserved for students living south of 87th Street and west of Wood Street in Chicago, plus up to 80 additional students in a special education cluster program.

The board is prohibited from selling, leasing, or transferring the 78.85-acre property acquired for the agricultural science school, except for a 17.45-acre parcel in the northeast section where construction may occur under existing plans.

A 23.19-acre irregularly shaped parcel of the agricultural science school property may be leased by the board to park board purposes under agreements entered into prior to the effective date of the 1991 amendatory act.
