• Requires the Auditor General to conduct a financial audit, compliance audit, or other attestation engagement of school districts organized under Article 34 of the School Code at least once during every biennium.

• Mandates the Chicago school district board of education to cooperate fully with the Auditor General and comply with all requirements applicable to other State agencies during biennial audits.

• Amends the Illinois State Auditing Act (30 ILCS 5/3-2) to include school districts in the mandatory biennial audit requirements.

• Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
