IL SB0723

Amends the Code of Civil Procedure to establish evidentiary requirements in asbestos exposure cases.

Requires courts to allow parties to present evidence on three specific issues: (1) whether plaintiff was exposed to asbestos from entities other than the defendant, (2) whether plaintiff's exposure was exclusively to the defendant's asbestos, and (3) whether a causal relationship exists between plaintiff's injuries and the defendant's asbestos.

Directs the trier of fact to determine liability and damages based on these three issues along with any other relevant issues.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
