Requires all Illinois institutions of higher education to adopt policies by June 1, 2018 awarding academic credit for military training applicable to certificate or degree requirements.

Applies to military training that is recommended for credit by national higher education associations, included in military transcripts, or otherwise documented as military training or experience.

Requires institutions to develop procedures for receiving and verifying military training documentation, maintain lists of qualifying military courses and programs, and provide policies to applicants listing military service.

Mandates institutions submit their military credit policies to the Board of Higher Education and Illinois Community College Board by June 30, 2018 and annually thereafter.

Directs the Board of Higher Education to collect data on veteran and military service student enrollment and completion outcomes through the Illinois Higher Education Information System.
