Requires staff development for kindergarten through 8th grade school personnel on detection, reporting, and prevention of child abuse and neglect.

Authorizes the Department of Children and Family Services to distribute materials in school buildings displaying the child abuse hotline toll-free number and reporting methods under the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act.

Materials must be displayed in a clearly visible location in each school building.

Applies these requirements to both traditional public schools (Section 10-23.12) and school districts under Article 34 (Section 34-18.6).

Makes charter schools subject to the requirements in subsection (b) of Sections 10-23.12 and 34-18.6 regarding child abuse hotline information distribution.
