SB1323 Summary

• Eliminates the prohibition on concealed carry licensees knowingly carrying firearms on buses, trains, and other forms of public transportation paid for in whole or in part with public funds.

• Removes the ban on carrying firearms in buildings, real property, and parking areas under the control of public transportation facilities that receive public funding.

• Makes Section 65(8) of the Firearm Concealed Carry Act blank, effectively striking the existing public transit restrictions.

• Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
