IL SB1361

Amends the Unemployment Insurance Act to increase minimum wage requirements for benefit eligibility starting January 1, 2018.

Requires workers to have earned at least $4,290 in wages during their base period (increased from $1,600) to qualify for any unemployment benefits.

Requires at least $2,145 of the $4,290 minimum wages to have been earned outside the calendar quarter in which the worker earned the highest wages (increased from $440 threshold).

Applies only to benefit years beginning on or after January 1, 2018; maintains previous requirements for earlier benefit years.
