Removes the requirement that prosecutors agree to a defendant's admission into a Veterans and Servicemembers Court program, requiring only defendant agreement and court approval.

Removes the requirement that prosecutors agree to a defendant's admission into a Mental Health Court program, requiring only defendant agreement and court approval.

Maintains existing eligibility criteria for both court programs, including exclusions for crimes of violence, non-probationable crimes, and defendants ineligible for probation.

Allows defendants charged with prostitution to be admitted into Mental Health Court programs if they meet other eligibility requirements and allow programs to include specialized services addressing trauma from prostitution and human trafficking.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
