• Increases the monthly personal needs allowance to $100 for residents of specialized mental health rehabilitation facilities and community-integrated living arrangements who receive medical assistance.

• State shall pay the difference between the federal minimum ($30) and $100 to ensure residents receive the full $100 monthly allowance from combined state and federal sources.

• Personal needs allowance shall increase annually on January 1st at the same rate as the Social Security cost-of-living adjustment.

• State shall supplement any additional income needed by licensed facilities to provide adequate care for residents.

• Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
