IL SB1411

Adds forfeiture of property provisions to three child exploitation crimes: indecent solicitation of a child, grooming, and traveling to meet a minor under Criminal Code Sections 11-6, 11-25, and 11-26.

Requires computers seized during these offenses to be forfeited to the state and allows law enforcement to retain seized computers and money for child exploitation unit training, equipment, and investigations before any distribution of proceeds.

Permits forfeited computers to be recommissioned for official agency use or destroyed, and prohibits courts from ordering their return to defendants.

Amends the Code of Criminal Procedure to include these three offenses in Article 124B forfeiture provisions alongside existing child pornography and exploitation offenses.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
