IL SB1465

Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to modify Section 3-634 regarding Illinois Fire Fighters' Memorial license plates.

Charges a $27 fee for original plate issuance ($15 to Secretary of State Special License Plate Fund, $12 to Illinois Fire Fighters' Memorial Fund) and $17 for each renewal ($2 to Secretary of State fund, $15 to Fire Fighters' Memorial Fund).

Expands scholarship eligibility to include any post-secondary education approved by the Illinois Firefighter Memorial Foundation, not limited to undergraduate and graduate study.

Allows Fire Fighters' Memorial Fund proceeds to support memorial maintenance, annual commemoration ceremonies, scholarships for children and spouses of firefighters killed in the line of duty, and up to 10% annually for the Illinois Fire Fighter Museum.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
