IL SB1467

Repeals Section 2.5 of the Wildlife Code, which previously prohibited the use of crossbows for taking wild birds or mammals.

Makes Section 2.33(o) blank, removing the crossbow prohibition and allowing crossbow use consistent with existing archery season regulations.

Repeals Section 2.5a of the Wildlife Code in conjunction with the crossbow prohibition removal.

Permits crossbow hunting as an alternative to traditional archery during applicable hunting seasons, subject to existing Wildlife Code requirements and administrative rules.
