SB1525 Summary

• Requires all applicants and licensees to provide a valid street address (not P.O. box) and email address as their address and email address of record, with notification of any changes within 14 days.

• Permits the Department to serve disciplinary notices and orders via email to a licensee's email address of record, in addition to traditional mail service methods.

• Changes terminology throughout the Professional Regulation Law from "certificate" and "registrant" to "license" and "licensee" for consistency and clarification of licensing terminology.

• Allows applicants for licensure or licensees whose petitions are granted under sex crime provisions to file for expungement of permanent denial or revocation records without the standard 7-year waiting period and $200 fee requirement.

• Creates new definitions for "address of record," "email address of record," "applicant," and "licensee" to clarify regulatory processes for the Division of Professional Regulation.
