IL SB1534

Amends the Unemployment Insurance Act Section 1502.1 to prevent employers from being charged for unemployment benefits when an employee voluntarily leaves work to participate in certain training programs.

Adds new subsection D-2 establishing that employers are not chargeable for benefits paid to individuals who voluntarily leave work under conditions described in item 6 of subsection C of Section 500.

Maintains existing employer charge exemptions for separations due to voluntary leaving without good cause, discharge for misconduct, criminal activity, refusal of suitable work, and other specified conditions.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
