• Requires persons performing abortions to provide pregnant women with the name, address, and telephone number of a pregnancy help center before proceeding with the procedure.

• Specifies that the referral organization must be located within reasonable proximity of the abortion facility and have as a principal mission providing education, counseling, and assistance to help pregnant mothers maintain relationships with and care for their unborn children.

• Prohibits referral organizations from performing abortions, being affiliated with physicians or entities that perform abortions, or referring pregnant mothers for abortions.

• Defines "abortion" according to Section 2 of the Illinois Abortion Law of 1975.

• Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
