IL SB1611

Amends Section 2-202 of the Public Utilities Act to cap fees assessed by the Illinois Commerce Commission on alternative retail electric suppliers and alternative gas suppliers at $0.50 per customer per year.

Requires that the number of customers for fee calculation purposes be determined by the most recent annual report filed with the Commission.

Applies to alternative retail electric suppliers holding certificates under Section 16-115 and alternative gas suppliers holding certificates under Section 19-110 of the Public Utilities Act.

Takes effect upon becoming law or when Public Act 99-906's amendments to Section 2-202 take effect, whichever is later.
