No medical provider shall be reimbursed for prescriptions filled outside a licensed pharmacy unless no licensed pharmacy exists within 5 miles of the prescribing physician's practice.

When no licensed pharmacy exists within 5 miles of the prescribing physician's practice, reimbursement is limited to prescriptions with supplies lasting no longer than 72 hours from date of injury or 24 hours from first referral to medical provider, whichever is greater.

Pre-arranged agreements between medical providers and preferred provider programs regarding prescription filling outside licensed pharmacies are exempt from the 5-mile and time-supply limitations.

Prescriptions filled outside licensed pharmacies are subject to a fee schedule not exceeding Average Wholesale Price (AWP) plus a $4.18 dispensing fee.

Amends the Workers' Compensation Act's Section 8.2 regarding medical fee schedules and provider reimbursement rates.
