Rental companies must obtain written agreement from renters before selling a damage waiver at or prior to executing the rental agreement.

Rental companies may void a damage waiver only for specific reasons including: commercial use of the vehicle, racing activities, intentional criminal acts, auto business operations, fraudulent rental contracts, use outside continental US if prohibited, unauthorized drivers, or operation by a driver convicted of DUI.

Repealed previous price caps on collision damage waivers that limited charges to $12.50 per day (prior to January 1, 2014) and $13.50 per day (after January 1, 2014).

Repealed previous exemption allowing rental companies to offer collision damage waivers on vehicles with manufacturer's suggested retail price exceeding $50,000 without pricing restrictions.
