IL SB1753

Amends the Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private Security, Fingerprint Vendor, and Locksmith Act of 2004 to authorize attorney's fees and costs awards in injunctive relief cases.

Allows licensees, interested parties, or injured persons to recover reasonable attorney's fees and costs if they successfully obtain injunctive relief against unlicensed practitioners, whether by consent or court order.

Applies to cases where individuals or entities practice as private detectives, security contractors, alarm contractors, fingerprint vendors, locksmiths, or their respective agencies without a valid license or with a suspended, revoked, or non-renewed license.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
