IL SB1758

Amends the Executive Reorganization Implementation Act to add the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board to the list of agencies that exercise regulatory or adjudicatory functions independently of the Governor.

Reduces the Illinois Police Training Act Board composition from 19 members to 18 members by removing the Director of the Illinois Police Training Institute as a required member.

Authorizes the Board to own and lease property and accept contributions, grants, gifts, donations, real property, and other financial assistance from individuals, organizations, corporations, and federal agencies.

Preserves the status and rights of employees and the State of Illinois under the Personnel Code, Illinois Public Labor Relations Act, collective bargaining agreements, and pension or retirement plans.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
