• Amends the Illinois Police Training Act (50 ILCS 705/1) with a technical correction to Section 1
• Removes duplicate language by striking one instance of the word "that" in the legislative declaration
• Maintains the existing purpose of the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board to promote and protect public health, safety, and welfare through law enforcement training and standards
• Preserves the board's responsibilities to encourage participation from municipalities, counties, park districts, universities, colleges, and other local governmental agencies in law enforcement training programs
• Effective date carried forward from prior amendment (January 1, 2016)
