IL SB1826

Amends the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Act by modifying Section 4 concerning the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority.

Maintains the Authority at 25 members consisting of designated state officials (Attorney General, Directors of Corrections, State Police, Public Health, and Children and Family Services, Cook County officials, Chicago Police Superintendent, and others) plus Governor-appointed members.

Requires Senate confirmation for all members appointed on or after the effective date of the 98th General Assembly's amendatory act.

Governor-appointed members serve at the Governor's pleasure for terms not exceeding 4 years, with the Governor designating the Chairman.

Authority must meet at least quarterly with meetings called by the Chairman.
