IL SB1842

Extends statute of limitations for prosecution of involuntary servitude, involuntary sexual servitude of a minor, and trafficking in persons from one year to 25 years after the victim attains age 18 when victim was under 18 at time of offense.

Removes the 3-year minimum limitation period that previously applied to trafficking and involuntary servitude prosecutions involving minor victims.

Amends Section 3-6 of the Criminal Code of 2012 to modify limitations periods for prosecutions involving crimes against minors and human trafficking offenses.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
